Apparel FundraisersApparel FundraisersT-shirts, sweatshirts, caps, polo shirts make for great fundraisers. A great fundraiser is to sell t-shirts and caps. Creating your own special team cap and t-shirt graphic has never been more inexpensive. In fact, costs for printed tees are probably less now than 10 years ago. Increased offshore production has made the custom t-shirt business one of the best values around. While teams and companies are opting for more colors than they once did, white remains the biggest seller. And even in this era of computer graphics, T-shirt designs are getting simple. The T-shirt doesn't need to list a company's telephone number, address, etc to be an effective billboard.. Like any billboard, oncoming traffic doesn't always have time to read the fine print. T-shirt, Sweatshirt Design Tips* Golden rule - more than 3 different typestyles in a piece of art makes it look too busy. * If you are not sure what color placement will look best on your multi-color order, allow our designers to choose the best color placement for you. * When choosing an ARC format for the letters, it is best not to specify letter height because ARCS must be stretched proportionately. * ARCHES are excellent for specific letter height. We measure the middle letters for the height. We can stretch it to 11" wide, 14" wide, 3" tall... whatever size you want! Idea GenerationThe first step towards a great design idea is to know what you want to say. This may seem obvious, but many folks forge into a design without a clear destination in mind. Take the time to write a brief description of your purpose and jot down a few things that will help you accomplish it. Settling on a DesignPlace the essential elements (text, graphics, photos) on the computer screen or scraps of paper and play with them, trying out each idea from your sketches. The design that excites you will rarely resemble your original sketch idea. The design somehow evolves out of the testing of ideas. Placement of Designs on T'sThe most popular spots to place your designs on your t-shirt, of course, are on the front, on the back or in both positions. These locations offer full-size image areas for you to unleash your creativity. "Staff shirt" designs are most often placed in the "heart" position, on the front of the shirt in the upper left. The graphic should be about 3-1/2 inches wide and may be used alone or together with a large design on the back of the shirt. |
